Architectural and 3-tab asphalt shingles — with the underlayment, ice-and-water shield, and accessories to do the whole roof right.
The roof is the one part of a house that's working every single day — shedding rain, holding off snow load, and battling the ice that builds up at the eaves all winter. A roof that's specced and built right keeps the weather outside for decades. Cut corners on the shingles or the underlayment beneath them, and you'll find out the hard way. We carry the shingles and every layer underneath so the whole system goes on right.
The standard for most homes today. Architectural shingles are thicker and layered, giving the roof depth and a richer look while carrying higher wind ratings and longer warranties than basic shingles. If you want the roof to look good and hold up through Minnesota storms, this is where most homeowners land.
The budget-friendly classic. 3-tab shingles are flat, lighter, and lower cost — a solid, proven choice for outbuildings, rentals, or any project where keeping the price down matters most. Clean, uniform, and dependable.
What goes under the shingles matters as much as the shingles. In our cold climate, ice dams form when roof snow melts and refreezes at the eaves, pushing water back up under the shingles — ice-and-water shield seals against exactly that. We stock underlayment, ice-and-water shield for eaves and valleys, drip edge, ridge vent, and valley flashing so the roof is protected from the deck up.
The finishing pieces that make a roof watertight and clean at every edge. We carry the starter strip that locks down the first course, hip and ridge cap for the peaks, and the roofing nails to fasten it all down to code.
The roof is a big chunk of what people see — the color matters. We can help you choose a shingle color that works with your siding, trim, and the rest of the exterior so the whole house reads as one. Stop in and we'll show you the options.
We carry architectural (dimensional) asphalt shingles and budget-friendly 3-tab shingles, along with the underlayment, ice-and-water shield, drip edge, ridge vent, hip and ridge cap, starter strip, and roofing fasteners to do the whole roof.
Architectural (dimensional) shingles are thicker, layered for a richer look, and typically carry higher wind ratings and longer warranties. 3-tab shingles are flat, lighter, and more budget-friendly. We carry both and will help you weigh look, durability, and cost.
In our cold climate it's essential. Ice dams form when snow melts and refreezes at the eaves, forcing water back up under the shingles. Ice-and-water shield along the eaves and valleys seals against that backup and protects the roof deck. We stock it and will help you figure how much your roof needs.
